Scooter Libby...Jail or No Jail??

I am staunch republican, and have given support to the present administration for many years.  I was behind Bush when he was Governor of Texas and I have stood behind him since he became President.  But I must admit that I am little dismayed with the decision pertaining to Scooter Libby.  If any other citizen had been found guilty of the charges brought against him, we would be under the jail.  As it was when Clinton lied to a Grand Jury, even though he was found guilty and impeached, he was forgiven and he walks around today making millions doing talks and interviews etc...frankly, I don't want to hear anything that man has to say.

But, back to Mr. Libby.  He was found guilty and he should do the time.  Just because someone has ties to a political group does not give them access to Presidential pardons, or the right to have their sentences commuted.  A crime is a crime, no matter who commits it for crying out loud!
Average Joe citizen cannot get that kind of release.

It is appearing that super stars, political figures, big money names etc, are above the law and only those of us who try to live a daily life have to fear the judicial system.

Let's get real people...why do we have the laws, regulations, rules etc... if they do not apply to every person in this country??  There is not a Democrat, Republican or Independent who can hold themselves above the law, yet they do it every day!

A few years ago, a group of politicians created their own Credit Union .  A bunch of them then proceeded to write hot checks.  It only made the news for a little bit, a small article in the papers, then it disappeared.  They shut down the Credit Union and supposedly the checks were made good, but the guilty parties faced no criminal charges, and the information available to the public was minimal to say the least.

Truth be known, if that same scenario had taken place with some regular citizens, they would all be in prison under many different charges, and our tax paying dollars would paying the bills.  Something needs to be done to put an end to the travesties of justice that are taking place.

Mr. Libby...You did the crime, name the ones who aided you, and all of you, be men, stand up and take your punishment!  You are no better than any other man who walks the streets of America.  You are sir, a criminal, albeit white collar, you are still a criminal.

For once, will somebody who is guilty of governmental crimes, plese stand up and say "My bad! I got caught!  lol  Oh how wonderful it would be to see some honesty in government for once!
